The Primary 7s have been reading Under the Hawthorn Tree by Marita Conlon-McKenna. In one chapter the starving children make a home made version of what could be loosely described as black pudding. Today we cooked one in class and everyone tried a piece, with some pupils loving it and clearing the plate. Alex Mc said she found it to be okay but wouldn’t be repeating the experience any time soon. Jack, Neala and Sean loved it and may be ordering it for breakfast at the weekend!
