This week, we’ve been learning about subtraction and how it helps us understand the relationship between numbers. We practiced taking one number away from another to find the difference, using objects, pictures, and a number line to help us solve problems. When using a number line, we start at a number and count backward to show how many we are taking away, which helps us see the difference clearly. We also talked about important subtraction words like “minus,” “take away,” and “difference.” By working through different examples and word problems, we are building our confidence and improving our accuracy with subtraction facts.
