P4 had a lovely morning working in groups to build a festive vehicle using K’nex as part of our topic Christmas around the World! The children explored traditions from different countries before planning their own festive vehicles. They worked in teams to plan their designs, thinking carefully about how to construct them. We discussed using our knowledge of length and symmetry to make sure the designs were balanced and after building- they tested their creations on a slope to check if they were strong enough- just like real engineers! To make the day even more special- we welcomed some special visitors from open morning to inspect the amazing designs!
