P6 Vikings experiment
25th Oct 2025
P6 have been learning about Viking shields and helmets. They carried out an experiment to find out if padding under a helmet helped protect a Viking more in battle. They used an egg(the brain), a tin( the helmet) and tissue paper(padding) They made the test fair by dropping the egg from the SAME height, onto the SAME surface, using the SAME tin. They only thing they changed was the padding inserted on the second drop which was what they were testing.
P6 had great fun! Then we made some paper helmets. Maybe iron might be a better choice for a real battle?!??
