P5 have been learning about Mummification in Ancient Egypt. We carried out our own experiment by trying to preserve fruit. We made our own ‘natron’ to dry out the fruit, using salt and baking soda, so that it won’t rot. We left one part of an apple in the natron and converted it and left one part of an apple uncovered. We look forward to seeing the results.
