P2/3 enjoyed a fun day in Portaferry last week. First we went to visit the R.N.L.I. to learn about water safety and what they do. We also got to get in the lifeboat and try on the life jackets.
Next we went to the Fire Station where the firefighters talked to us about what they do, showed us their tools and we tried on their jackets and helmets. We were able to get inside the fire engine and to squirt the hose at a traffic cone.
Finally, we had a picnic and a play in the park. We had a fantastic day! Thank you to all the staff at the R.N.L.I. And Portaferry Fire Station for giving your time!
