P1 and Butterflies
28th Apr 2026
As part of our “Blooming Marvellous” topic, Primary 1 explored butterflies through art and maths by using paint to design our very own colourful butterflies. We carefully chose bright colours and patterns, then folded our paper in half to print the paint onto the other side. This helped us understand the idea of symmetry, as both wings turned out to be the same on each side. It was a fun and creative way to see how butterfly wings are symmetrical, and it helped us learn how patterns can be mirrored perfectly on both sides!
