P1 have been learning about life cycles and explored how living things grow and change over time. As part of their learning, the children created the life cycle of a butterfly and talked about each stage. They learned that a butterfly begins as an egg, then becomes a caterpillar, forms a chrysalis, and finally emerges as a butterfly. The activity helped P1 develop their understanding of change in nature while also giving them a chance to use their cutting, ordering, and discussion skills.
