P6 began their topic of 2D shape by sorting 2D shapes by the following properties:
•diagonals/no diagonals
•right angles/no right angles
•parallel lines/no parallel lines
•regular/irregular sides
•lines of symmetry/no lines of symmetry
They were placed in groups and rotated to different stations around the classroom sorting by different criteria each time.
They have also been using mirrors to identify lines of symmetry in regular and irregular shapes.
