Where we Live

18th Oct 2021

On Forday the P7 pupils went on a short walk to Mian Streeet to compare the village with an old photgraph they found on line. The visit was very interesting and many of the pupils discovered "hidden gems" they had walked past every day!

One on the most interesting findings was that some of the houses are very ornate and must have belonged to some wealthy people. We also found a mile stone, long since painted over,  marking the distance to Newtownards. Another intersting discovery were teh big stones beside gateways that were used to help teh horse carts turn into the entrances when they were reversing!

We also discovered that several houses were missing between Toals Book makers and The Conlon Building,
